Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and staffing concerns, City Wildlife will no longer be accepting animals directly from the public.  However, if you find a sick, injured or orphaned wild animal in the District of Columbia, please contact DC Animal Care and Control at (202) 576-6664 for a pick-up or bring the animal to the DC Animal Shelter at 1201 New York Avenue, NE.  Animal Control will transfer these animals to City Wildlife for rehabilitation and care.

Please do not try to raise these animals yourself.  It is both illegal and inhumane, and the animals can be dangerous and carry diseases that are transmissible to humans.

Please know that the animals in our care and brought to us from DC Animal Care and Control will receive the best possible care we can give them, with the aim of releasing them back to the wild.  Our goal is to continue to be here for these animals in need throughout the current pandemic.
