Woodchucks, also known as Groundhogs and Whistle Pigs, are solitary mammals that live underground burrows. During the day, they can be found eating vegetation. Their droppings help to fertilize soil. Woodchucks hibernate each winter and breed each spring, giving birth to litters of three to six.
