Sara has a BA in Animal Behavior from Franklin & Marshall College, where she focused on exotic animal welfare science. She entered the field of wildlife rehabilitation in college as a volunteer at Acorn Acres Wildlife rehabilitation in Millersville, PA. She fell in love with the work and quickly began a simultaneous internship at nearby West Shore Wildlife Center, which evolved into employment. Upon graduation, she moved back to Maryland to begin her current job as an Animal Care Technician at City Wildlife. Sara is very passionate about animal welfare and wildlife education. Her favorite part of her job is creating enrichment for wildlife patients. She also greatly enjoys providing environmental education programs to DC students on behalf of City Wildlife. Outside of work, Sara spends much of her time in nature observing arthropods and birds, her two favorite animal groups.”
