Chris-Anne Burton Communications Director

Chris-Ann Burton, a native Washingtonian, earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in conservation from George Mason University. She began her career with City Wildlife as a summer intern while continuing her studies at George Mason. After graduating, she joined the Animal Care team as a seasonal staff member and is now City Wildlife’s Communications Director. While she misses the hands-on aspects of the work, she enjoys sharing patient stories and helping the public connect with wildlife in Washington, DC. Although her current focus is on the administrative and communications side, she remains deeply passionate about wildlife conservation and veterinary research. She has previously participated in coral disease research and caribou behavioral studies. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dog Link, playing video games, listening to music, making art, and exploring nature.
